Short answer
The EDGE grant provides a standard cap of S$100,000 per company per year. For larger or more complex projects, a higher cap is available via case-by-case EnterpriseSG assessment. Subsidy rates have not been formally confirmed but are expected to follow the underlying frameworks: 50% for digitalisation, varying rates for enterprise efficiency and overseas expansion. Full details will be published at launch.
Key facts
- Standard cap: S$100,000 per company per year
- Higher cap available via case-by-case EnterpriseSG assessment
- Subsidy rates not yet formally confirmed
- Current PSG: 50% up to S$30k · EDG: 50% SME / 30% non-SME · MRA: 70% SME
The S$100,000 standard cap is significantly higher than the current PSG cap of S$30,000. For a business that would previously have needed both a PSG application (S$30k) and an EDG application (S$100k) for a combined AI project, EDGE offers a single S$100k envelope.
For the enterprise efficiency cluster (the former EDG scope), subsidy rates are expected to remain differentiated by business size — but because EDGE removes the SME eligibility restriction, non-SMEs can now access the digitalisation and overseas clusters for the first time at whatever EDGE rate is set.
The case-by-case higher cap is important for large-scale AI transformation projects. A custom AI deployment covering multiple business units can easily exceed S$100k in qualifying costs; the escalation pathway ensures large companies are not structurally capped.
