The call sets out the plan and the dates; it does not show the reach, or that each date ran. Source named here, not linked.

The short version · 2008 to 2016

Before AI, in six answers.

What did Nick Tung build before AI?

Six brands, starting in 2008: Freemansland (2008 to 2011), Flea Titan (2009 to 2010), Hooked On Flea (2009 to 2011), Pop Lab Asia and ShoutSG (2010), and Kaisheng Concepts (2011 to 2016). Events, flea markets, pop-up retail and arcade rentals, in Singapore and, for one market, Kuala Lumpur.

The chapters and the wall on this page. Freemansland: ACRA, 20 Feb 2008

What is Freemansland?

Nick Tung's sole proprietorship, registered with ACRA on 20 February 2008. It ran band and club events for a year before the flea markets, then became the vehicle behind them and a platform for vendors, with its own forum.

ACRA: Freemansland, sole proprietorship, 20 Feb 2008

What was Flea Titan, and when did Nick Tung leave it?

A Singapore flea market brand, organised by Freemansland and Don't Panic, that ran five editions from April 2009 to June 2010. Nick sold his personal stake on 11 February 2010, twelve months after the idea, and ran one more edition, Flea Titan V at 5 Mount Sophia on 26 June 2010, his last. The brand itself was sold to a buyer in June 2010. The 2014 editions under the name are not his.

Nick's Facebook post, 11 Feb 2010. Brand sale: Nick's own statement, 17 Oct 2026

What was Hooked On Flea?

The flea series that followed Flea Titan, organised by Freemansland. It launched at Youth Park on 26 November 2009, ran #3 at the New Scape Building and #4 at The Arena in mid-2010, was revived at Alcova in December 2010, and ran at club venues including Club Titanium and TAB, Orchard into 2011.

Nick's Facebook posts, 2009 to 2011. Club Titanium poster on Flickr, Dec 2010

What were Pop Lab Asia and ShoutSG?

Two 2010 ventures. Pop Lab Asia, co-founded by Nick, produced POPMRKT, a pop-up market at the Metropolitan Square rooftop pool in Kuala Lumpur on 10 and 11 April 2010. Under ShoutSG, Nick ran flea markets at Homeclub in July and September 2010, and Market Mayhem at The Supperclub, Odeon Towers, on 14 August 2010.

Nick's Facebook posts, 9 Mar, 27 Jul, 30 Jul and 31 Aug 2010

What was Kaisheng Concepts?

Kaisheng Concepts LLP, registered with ACRA on 22 December 2011, rented arcade and game machines to corporate events and festivals in Singapore. Nick Tung was one of its two founding partners, from 2011 to 2016.

Why this page exists

The AI work is the latest chapter, not the first.

Getting a business found in AI search is a distribution problem. So was filling 7 Mount Sophia with 150 stalls in 2009, and so was keeping a row of Daytona cabinets booked across a festival calendar. Same job, new tools.
