EDGE was announced 2 March 2026 at the MTI Committee of Supply debate, as part of a Business Refresh Package administered by Enterprise Singapore. The intent is to simplify the grant landscape: businesses that currently navigate three separate applications (PSG for tools, EDG for capability, MRA for overseas) will file one consolidated EDGE application instead.
The non-SME eligibility is the structural shift that matters most. PSG and MRA were SME-only. EDGE opens its activities to mid-market and large companies for the first time, creating a new funding pathway for businesses that previously had no route.
PSG, EDG and MRA remain fully claimable until 29 September 2026, the day before EDGE launches - after that, no new applications are accepted under those three schemes. Anything submitted before the cutoff is still assessed and paid out under that scheme's own rules.
