Can I use the EDGE grant for AI adoption in Singapore?

Short answer

Yes — AI adoption is a core intended use of the EDGE grant. The digitalisation cluster funds off-the-shelf AI tools (formerly PSG territory) and the enterprise efficiency cluster funds custom AI builds, AI employee deployment, and transformation consulting (formerly EDG territory). Until EDGE launches, AI projects qualify under PSG for pre-approved tools and EDG for custom development and strategic consulting.

Under the current framework, AI adoption typically requires two applications: PSG for any pre-approved AI tool (e.g. chatbots, AI CRM, automated document processing), and EDG for the custom AI build on top of it (e.g. a bespoke AI employee, a multi-agent automation, a custom LLM integration). EDGE consolidates both into one application.

For non-SMEs, EDGE is particularly significant: a company with more than S$100M revenue or 200 employees currently has no PSG pathway for AI tools. Under EDGE, the digitalisation cluster opens to all companies.
